Chelela Trek Overview

On this trek, you will have enchanting view of Mount Jumolhari, Jichu Drake and Tsherimgang mountains.  You will also have distant view of Mount Kanchenjongga of Sikkim. On this trek, you will have enchanting view of Mount Jumolhari, Jichu Drake and Tsherimgang mountains.  You will also have distant view of Mount Kanchenjongga of Sikkim. The first day of the trek, commences from the Haa Valley at 2670m.  We walk north of the Haa Valley through country-side against the stream through yak summer grazing land.  After making the last steep ascent for an hour we arrive out campsite at Sagala at 3550m. The last two days of the trek is a walk along the high ridges that offer amazing views of Mountains and Valleys of Paro and Haa beneath. The last leg of the trek is a steep ascent till the Kung Karpo at an altitude of 4350m.  Its famous sky burial marked by stone cairns and old mediation hut.
